Q4 vs. Q5 Rocket Factories

I'm totally confused. Check out this chat in IRC and try explaining this to me in a coherent manner.

My best explaination is eRebuglik not supply and demand. Clint Carmel is just a smart guy. That's a response I would expect from him.
