Hmmm...

I'm currently raving about Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei (The Irregular at Magic High School).
I think the best anime I've seen has been Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica.
The best comedy I've seen is Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun.
The anime I'll rave about the moment you mention its name, but will rarely bring up myself is Hyouka.

I've mainly been into light novels. (Spice and Wolf, Sword Art Online, Toradora, etc.)
and manga, but I haven't read any manga in years... all the good mangas became anime already xD

You can always just check out the anime I've seen here. I've rated some things highly because I rated them right after I saw it and never went back and updated it after the rave was over.

Hmm... I'm only familiar with Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei in passing, though I have a friend that has been reading the light novels, and he says it's good.
Madoka Magica is very good, and in fact, I recently powered through the movie trilogy after watching the TV series as it was airing.
I've been doing a bit of catching up lately on shows I missed the first time around or ones that have been languishing on my backlog, and I almost picked up Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun a few days ago. It's on my to-do list.
I watched the first seven episodes of Hyouka back when it first aired in mid-2012, but it got backlogged because it was too slow to really hold my interest. Maybe I'll pick it back up sometime.

As for my favorites, my overall Top 5 goes like this:
1) Steins;Gate
2) FLCL
3) Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuustu (The first series, I actually never finished the second because Endless Eight was a punch in the gut)
4) Kanon (2006)
5) 5 Centimeters per Second

I don't have a MAL because I was using anidb for that purpose before MAL was really a thing, and even though MAL is more popular now, I can't be arsed to change. That said though, you can look at my anidb vote page here, and it has most everything I've seen that I felt able to give a rating to (with the caveat being that I rate most things higher than I should, and 7.5-8 is basically average for me). Even so, if you click the "Vote" column to sort the list by rating, you can get a good idea of the stuff I've seen and what I like.

As for what I've been watching lately, there's my currently watching sig,

which updates straight off my anidb MyList and links to my Userpage there. The only thing I'm watching weekly right now is Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso [Your Lie in April], but lately, I've been doing a lot of backlog fishing, as you can see.

Hmm... Maybe I should start an anime thread...

Also, that's probably too big for a signature. I don't think we have any set rules for that, but you might want to tone it down a bit.

(That has nothing to do with me pulling for Team Kuroneko by the way. At least Kirino got less horrible in the second season...)

Actually I h8 Kirino. Although she grew on me a little. I like her animations a lot though. I was rooting for Manami for the whole time... yes I'm that guy... I actually have a figure of kuroneko though xD

and yeah I've been playing around with it a bit.

Anyway, a friend of mine bought me a Kuroneko figma for Christmas a couple years back, and I accidentally broke her knee joint when first putting her on display. It depressed me so much that I gave the figma back to him, and I actually ended up liking Kuroneko less in the second season because I was constantly reminded of the poor figma.

Poor Kuroneko figma...

Other than that, I don't have much budget or space for figures.

Also, yeah, I think I'll go ahead and make an anime thread for the EZC forum tomorrow, because at this rate, we're going to overrun this thread with talk of esoteric things that make the others wonder.
