We The People
After 3Trekker's post I got to wondering how many Easy Soldiers were in the WTP? I can't be the exception to the rule guys...so...who else is in We The People or for that matter any party other than the United States Workers Party?

Re: We The People
EZC has a few in AMP and the Feds, a couple in WTP, but most of the actives are indeed in the best party. :3

Re: We The People
/me raises hand.
I've been in WTP since I came back to the game about a year and a half ago, mostly because it reminded me of the UIP at the time, and personality-wise, I tend to like to hang around with a varied group, and I like a moderate party that tries to pull in the input of as many people as possible. I'm actually in the in-game cabinet at the moment, but since I came back to eRep, I've been skillfully avoiding roles with a lot of set responsibilities, so I can't say I'm a huge contributor to the party, other than a near eternal advisory role and having leadership access to various things.
Regarding the "best party" idea. It's good that you can say your party is the best, since that means your identity and branding is strong, but personally, I don't bother. The differences between the parties nowadays are only in feeling, identity, and personnel. Nowadays, many of us agree on everything that really matters, the mechanics aspects have been locked down for years, and parties themselves have less prominence in the game.
I mean, of course people tend to favor and promote those that they're close to, but I feel like that's basically all it is.

Re: We The People
Currently PP nominations for the WTP are taking place and I just found out that Bradley Reala is a member of the WTP and has been nominated for the position. Bradley is an Old Guard citizen who I could get behind and I would be proud to have him as WTP PP....

Re: We The People
Bradree is so out of touch with the game that naming him PP of a T5 would be pretty stupid.

Maybe, but the WTP has many notable citizens who I am pretty sure would help him get 'in touch' with the game....

Bradley is regularly nominated for various positions among various groups as a joke. If someone actually elects him for something, I'd be quite amused.

That's pretty much what happened here too. Considering his reaction the last time he got propped up in a SoH election. I doubt he's interested. With that said, hell, if by some odd twist he is interested, I say put him on the ballot. It's probably better than that month with Valiant Thor.

What better way to get reintegrated with the game...?

I find it adorable that you think it would actually upset him. That said, of the three, Mike is easily my favorite

Actually I just said that to stir the mud to see if he would actually say more than one liners, after all it is so much fun; since I nominated TheMike I agree that he is the best....

Re: We The People
I'm rather well-accustomed to working with Mike, be it in congress, NSC, or for a short time in USAF. He's not always perfect, but he's generally solid and he's a good worker.

I simply don't know MrCarey, but he seems to have brought more open communication to the party and a splendid job, Ole' Chap.

MrCarey's a good guy and I hear he was rather helpful to SColbert last month. I know Mike better though.Franklin Stone wrote:I simply don't know MrCarey, but he seems to have brought more open communication to the party and a splendid job, Ole' Chap.

Re: We The People
Mike is very good when he commits himself to doing something. With that said, MrCarey has brought a lot to the party after a lackluster couple of months.
As a supportive onlooker though, I'm a bit concerned that MrCarey is taking on a lot of stuff in a short timeframe. I'd hate to see him burn out.
Then again, that might just be my frame of reference, since I'm personally prone to trying to do everything and going out in a blaze of glory. Coincidentally, that's why it's rare to see me take a position of responsibility.

I think many people have that issue, myself included. I wind up frustrated and say "fuck it" and just start dropping out of everything.RaccoonGoon wrote:Mike is very good when he commits himself to doing something. This game -like real life- takes a lot of commitment, the time commitment is probably the thing that drives citizens away the most; I mean who has that much time to waste...?
