Circle of Trust Empty Circle of Trust

Post by Franklin Stone Fri Feb 07, 2014 8:44 am

Seems that the only thing being discussed in Congress right now is a long dead alliance, CoT Invite. Don't know about the rest of you, but talking about whether or not America should join an alliance -which was a total failure the first time- is not what I elected them to do....

You speak as if you did anything more than cast a single vote for a single party. The vast majority of Congress (read as: all of them) owe you nothing personally, and are not beholden to discuss what you want them to discuss when you want them to discuss it.

Oh, and there are threads you can't see, so your 'seems like' needs to be understood to mean that you have limited information and are talking out of your ass.

Here are the discussion threads from last month, Public Discussions, please indicate where you did anything but call citizens names or belittle the ideas put forth by Congress members.

So what you are saying is that citizens who were voted into Congress owe nothing to the Americans who put them there? You are correct that they owe me nothing personally, but if they owe me nothing you are implying that they also owe nothing to all the other Americans who voted. Hopefully during the next Congressional elections American citizens remember that you feel they are owed nothing....

Individuals are owed nothing, the collective is. You complaining because the only discussion you are aware of is about a defunct alliance invite is simply chatter that isn't worth the bandwidth it takes to load it.

First of , be civil both of you. Piffer, we don't insult other EZC member on this forum, or all, but I can't control what you do on other forums so do that shit elsewhere Franklin, you have been in congress and you know there are private sections of the forums for congress to have discussions before bringing those discussions to a public forum.

If you two want to continue to argue go to PMs, you will not in public on this forum.

2nd, CoT was a really bad idea back in the day when FG signed up the nation for it and it is still a bad idea today.

HHH - Aside from where I said he was talking out of his ass, which you basically just confirmed in your post, I'd say I was being pretty civil.

That being said, if you're going to address me directly, do try to get my name correct. It's not that complicated. You know, that's what civil people would do.

Patton - I never liked CoT much, it served it's purpose for a limited time but ultimately it was a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing. Rejoining would be amusing if only because we could rename it something, but even that would only be a fleeting amusement.

EDEN, PanAm, Terra, Circle of Trust, wherein no trusted anyone. All of those alliances should teach America one thing...stay out of alliances. Hell, even the best ONE ever -TWO- in the end fell apart. Better to navigate the waters of Foreign Affairs as an independent.

There's nothing wrong with being in an alliance, you just can't expect it to last forever.

EZC is apolitical, take your political squabbling and infighting elsewhere. Were all trying to do whats best for the US, remember that.

PEACE was the best alliance ever. Their leadership was the best group of players the game has seen, and their ability to work the mechanics was unrivaled. They would have conquered the entire world given the mechanics the game has now, and even with the more restrictive and defender friendly mechanics of v1 they managed to take most of it, including pushing the US down to a single region and wiping the rest of North America.

Simply put, they were the best in every way.
